Chamonix is the birth-place of alpinism and modern day mountaineering. There are many high quality, intermediate level alpine climbs in the Chamonix and Val d’Aosta regions. The big draw-card in the Mont-Blanc range is the access to the mountains. One can take the cable cars up to the high alpine peaks and get straight into alpine climbing. Brevent, Flegere, Grands Montets, Aiguille du Midi or the Skyway on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc tunnel give direct access to real alpine mountaineering.

We adapt the objectives to the wishes and capabilities of the group, as well as the mountain conditions.

Chamonix mountaineering can be valley based, with daily trips to different venues by cable car. A hut night or two can quite easily be built into programs.

Mountaineering in the heart of the Alps

Swiss Valais Mountaineering

Mountaineering in Switzerland with more than sixty peaks above 4000m in altitude makes it one of the most exciting places to climb. This is more than any other country in the Alps, plus many 3000 metre peaks with great mountaineering routes. As a sure-footed intermediate alpinist, at least half of the routes to these summits are accessible mountaineering objectives. Mountain huts provide access to quiet summits involving snow, rock and ice climbing. It’s the perfect place to work on your mountaineering skills.
