Norway Ski Touring

Ski above the fjords

Norway has some of the best ski touring around. In the far north, one can ski from the summits to ocean’s edge even in the spring time. The views over the mountains and fjords are spectacular and the skiing is world-class.

We offer land or boat based tours. In some areas up north it’s great skiing from a boat, but most areas are accessed by land.

Lyngen Ski Touring

The Lyngen Alps offer some of the best terrain for ski touring in Norway or anywhere in the world.

We do one week land based trips in Lyngen. We leave the lodge each morning and drive to the best objective for the day.

There are mellow slopes as well as steep couloirs making it perfect for almost any level of group. The views are second to none. Remember that there are no ski lifts here, so be ready to skin up-hill 700m to 1500m every day.

Typically, we chat the evening before and make a plan. Sometimes it is best to wait until morning to see if there is fresh snow, new winds etc, before deciding on the best venue for ski touring that day.
