Rock Climbing in the Alps
The Alps host a diverse range of rock climbing, everything from single pitch limestone sport climbing to big granite trad climbs.
We organise a six day trip covering multiple areas and types of terrain or a one day trip from one of the high cable cars. We’ll guide you as many days as you like. We’ll always adapt the program to your level and motivation.
Alpine Multi- Pitching: Based in Chamonix, the Valais or Val d’Aosta in Italy, we have access to many multi-pitch venues, everything from valley climbs to alpine trad. With just a short drive, we can avoid bad weather or crowds. Experience Granite, Limestone and Gneiss climbing in a just few days around the Alps.
Chamonix Granite: In summer, the high granite of the Mont Blanc range is some of the best to be found anywhere. The cracks are often perfect with flakes and knobs on the golden granite faces. The climbing is mostly protected by trad gear with the occasional bolt in places not protectable otherwise, or at the belays. We often go to the areas around the Orny hut, the Envers des Aiguilles or the Argentiere hut as well as day hits off the Aiguille du Midi lift or in the Aiguille rouges.
Dolomites: The Dolomites is famous for its steep limestone towers with some excellent, long climbs. Routes can be up to a thousand metres high or just a few pitches. If you can climb 6b or harder, a few days in the Tre Cime area is unforgettable.
