Swiss Ridge Classics
Swiss mountaineering is varied with more than sixty peaks above 4000m in altitude. This is more than any other country in the Alps and there are many hundreds more not much lower. As a sure-footed intermediate alpinist, a good half of the routes to these summits are accessible climbs.
Typically, the ridge climbs in Switzerland involve snow, rock and ice. There are also some good multi-pitch face climbs to be explored.
The valley base can be: Champex, Arolla, Zermatt or Saas-Grund.
We offer three to six day courses adapted to the group’s wishes and capabilities.
Some examples of routes we may do in Swiss Ridge Classics (Intermediate) Mountaineering trips:
- Mont Blanc de Cheillon traverse
- Grand Cornier traverse
- Jegihorn multi-pitch
- Lagginhorn SW ridge
- Mirroir d’Argentine
- Couronne de Breona traverse
- Tsalion west ridge and Aiguille de la Tsa
