Verbier Off-Piste

Switzerland
The ultimate backcountry resort
Verbier is a huge ski area linking up the four valleys with efficient lifts and endless backcountry runs. The top of Mont Fort at 3300m is the starting point for many long runs for good intermediate to advanced skiers.
Ski the famous off-piste descents like the Backside of Mont Fort, La Banane, Champs Ferret, Vallon d’Arby, Stairway to Heaven, Col des Mines and many more.
A short ascent, either boot-packing or on skins, one can access many fresh turns far from the crowds.
Heli-skiing is also an option from Verbier and can be combined with ski-touring for a unique high mountain experience.
Day trips to surrounding resorts like Zinal or Chamonix is always an option with an hour’s drive or so.
January to late April. Each month of the winter offers good skiing at different altitudes and aspects.
Number of skiers in the group depends on the difficulty of runs we plan on doing. Typically, if we do classic runs, a 1:6 guide-guest ratio is the maximum. For more complex runs it may be less.
